VRC Inc. is a very unique organization established to provide assistance to former and current incarcerated veterans successfully transition back into society. Veterans that are reintegrating back in to society face many challenges that includes homelessness, substance abuse, lack of funding, stigma, and little to no family support.
Veterans who are or have been incarcerated at military facilities, are not eligible for state and federal halfway/ transition housing grants or funding because the military judicial system is categorized as independent; not falling under federal or state jurisdiction. Some Veterans, after their judicial process, are no longer eligible for the Veterans benefits that allows them an opportunity to transition successfully. Due to lack of funds and eligibility some veterans leave incarceration without assistance or a place to reside, later becoming homeless.
VRC was established to bridge the gap between our Veterans and the community, providing resources and support that was once unattainable. We believe that a Veteran's mistake should not cancel out their rights to freedoms and resources they fought for.
Veterans Rehabilitation Connect Inc. believes that our Veterans who face this type challenge can R.I.S.E;
